  • One size fits most. Fits men's shoe size 5-13

  • Small holes between the tread help to eliminate suction when walking, and assist with drainage when wading

Yes, they work

I wore the Mudders for the first time this weekend. Walking out in a pond to place duck decoys. The pond had about 6" of silt on the bottom. My friend had a very tough time walking. I tried it with and without the Mudders. Without the mudders. The only way I could walk without them was to wait for my foot to push through the silt to the hard bottom then struggle to pick up my foot only to do it again. With the mudders I cruised right along walking almost normally. The only downside is I wish there were buckles to make them easier to get on/off.

One gripe, otherwise pretty sweet.

I like them and they work well. They seem to be built of quality components. I do have one gripe… and it’s significant. The strap that holds the boot back into the heel is too short. I wear a size 11 wader boot and it is impossible to put the boots on without essentially stepping down on the buckle. The solution is to thread a cord through the buckle to hold it up and out of the way when putting the boots on. If the strap was 1/2 inch longer there wouldn’t be a problem.

Hi Rick,
Thank you for writing a review! I apologize that the straps weren't long enough. We have specific lengths set for each of the straps. However, mistakes can be made. If the length is incorrect, I'd be happy to help you with a warranty replacement. Please send me an email at orders@mudderboots.com with the length of the strap, and we can look into getting this taken care of for you.

Mississippi delta mud . If you know you know .

There is no solution for delta mud .. but these are definitely a good start . Wore them 2 weekends in a row on 3 hunts . It takes a minute to get used to the added weight on your feet and how to maneuver around things due to the width. Overall im glad I got them. They definitely help if you have knee or lower back problems I promise. Worth every penny and seem like they will last a long time .

Super Soft Pluff Mud was Challening

I tried my new Mudder Boots yesterday under my dock which has very soft and deep pluff mud. There was a lot of suction that made progressing difficult. I wore water shoes and when the flaps of the mudder boot inverted, it clamped my ankles which was not pleasant.

In different parts of my creek bank, it worked very well. There was enough vegetation that thicker the mud, the area next to my dock is raw mud. I lost a mudder boot and when I put my foot in without the mudder, I sank 3 feet. It took a rope with a hook to get the sunk mudder out.

Perhaps I need more time with them and to wear a rubber boot with them. Right now, I’m not keen on trying again between tides.

These keep you safe in extreme mud but are very overpriced

Tried them out in my local estuary (which is badly contaminated with sticky clay silt from uncontrolled housing developments).
They stop you sinking into the mud but are a bit heavy and cumbersome and in very sticky mud you get mud building up making them heavier and heavier but I found I could rinse them off by wading and jiggling about in water channels.
The binding straps are cumbersome to tighten and they work loose after a while.
Not sure how well the metal clips will last as they don't appear to be stainless steel.
The nuggety tread gives you secure grip.
These are the only option for safe walking in thick sticky mud but they're ridiculously overpriced and as is so typical of USA companies they make it difficult and expensive to ship to anywhere outside the USA (ignoring the 96% of the world's population who live elsewhere)
Very well made but I think the design could be improved.
Overall I'm glad I bought them but wish the price was more reasonable.
Thanks
