Mudder Boots

Straps were short and difficult to tighten over wade boots… they still suctioned in the mud too. I think it’s easier to just take them off and get stuck in the mud then struggle wearing them

I'm a commercial oyster harvester. I work in saltwater marshes. Mudders allow me to walk-in ankle-deep mud a lot better than with only boots. Mudders save my boots when walking on oysters. they are very tough. This was my second pair, and are improved over the original ones.

I duck hunt in deep mud and the mudder boots make it much more endurable!

I wore the Mudders for the first time this weekend. Walking out in a pond to place duck decoys. The pond had about 6" of silt on the bottom. My friend had a very tough time walking. I tried it with and without the Mudders. Without the mudders. The only way I could walk without them was to wait for my foot to push through the silt to the hard bottom then struggle to pick up my foot only to do it again. With the mudders I cruised right along walking almost normally. The only downside is I wish there were buckles to make them easier to get on/off.

I like them and they work well. They seem to be built of quality components. I do have one gripe… and it’s significant. The strap that holds the boot back into the heel is too short. I wear a size 11 wader boot and it is impossible to put the boots on without essentially stepping down on the buckle. The solution is to thread a cord through the buckle to hold it up and out of the way when putting the boots on. If the strap was 1/2 inch longer there wouldn’t be a problem.
